Motion

Sitting on my butt watching tv I saw a commercial that says,"A body in motion tends to stay in motion." And I'm always doing the exact opposite. Unless it involves me cleaning my house, I feel like that never ends. But I decided to try and "stay in motion". So here are a few of the things that I have accomplished the last week...

This was a hat that I was making for Mason but it turned out to small so I decided to make a flower and sew it on instead. Now I just don't know what to do with it. But it was fun to make! I wish I had a little girl I would make tons more!

Cant decide which one I want to use. Alan is going to crop some of them for me so there isn't so much head room on top but again fun to do! I just couldn't stop :) My friend wanted one and that made me so excited! So if any of you want one of them for you I can always swap out the picture :)

Choose Your Words

Choose your words wisely and make sure they are uplifting. Sarcasm is all fun and games until someone gets their feelings hurt. Choose your words and make sure they are uplifting. Being a member of the LDS Church, we believe that families can be together forever. We need to make sure we don't put down others especially our families (even when we are joking). Our families are the only way we can be happy forever. We need to hold them close and speak kind words to them. Aleca taught me this valuable lesson yesterday. Its one to be remembered.

Update from my last post

I'm finally getting around to updating what has been going on. Sorry for the long wait but our whole family has been sick with colds and flu's and all the in between. I had one last blood draw last Monday which reveled a normal miscarriage. phew. My HCG levels dropped from 3000 to 1000 and now to 45. Which in some way is great news but in others still hard to hear. But it really makes me feel blessed for having Mason in our lives. No one ever really knows how its going to be to build a family, whether it will be easy and no complications, or very difficult and have to take painful measures (physically/emotionally) or simply incapable to have any at all.

We love Mason so much and he is a HUGE part of our lives. We simply are lucky to have him here to raise him on Earth. He loves to smile at anything and everything you do. He has this amazing personality that melts our hearts. He has pretty much the most random hair on top of his head but if you look a little bit further down his eyes will captivate you. His teeth are at the stage right now they are so funny its cute and his skinny little tan (at least compared to me) body, luckily he got from his dad, makes it easy to pick him up. Although it would be nice to have a forward facing car seat. He has pretty much zero desire to walk and learn words but he can crawl at the speed of light and speak in his own language that I'm pretty sure he can understand. He loves working with his hands and playing with legos and fitting things where they don't belong. He loves banging on his legs and opening his mouth and wide as he can while doing it lol so cute. All in all I love my little M. And if he is all I get in this life, I'm a lucky gal.

So Confused

So I was so excited when I found out I was pregnant again with baby number 2 that I took 3 test from 2 different brands and all came out positive!! I surprised Alan with little M wearing a shirt I made that says "BIG BRO" for when he came home from a work trip. I wanted to wait to tell everybody after the 3 month mark so I new we were in the clear. But I only made it to 2 1/2 months. I started spotting on tuesday but it never stopped. We also found that little M had a rather large bump on his cute little butt cheek with a rash all on his front. We went to the doc and found that little M has an abscess the size of a quarter and if it doesn't go down by today he has to get it lanced which means to cut it open and drain it because it is so far into the tissue. On top of that he got 4 shots for his year check up. Needless to say it hasn't gone down with the meds he is on it has only gotten bigger.
The doc took an ultra sound and nothing was in my uterus. We are at a loss and so confused. Nothing really makes any since. Here are some scenarios of what could or is happening.

1) I lost the baby but never felt the pain of it
2) I never had one in the first place
3) I have another tubal pregnancy
4) I have a really early pregnancy
5) I lost the baby but also have a tubal pregnancy

1) don't you feel pain when you miscarry? 2) I don't see how 3 tests and almost 3 months of no aunt flow could be wrong. 3) If I had another tubal pregnancy I would be in so much pain and probably dead by now having a baby that big in a tube (last time it ruptured my tube at 8 weeks and I had about a day left to live with how much I bleed internally). 4) Prego tests dont even show up until your at least a month along and I had taken it 3-4 weeks ago so no early pregnancy for me. Number 5 is what we and the doc think what happened to me my last tubal/ectopic pregnancy. I bleed like a period and about a week and half later I was in surgery to remove the pregnancy in my tube.
They took my blood to check my HCG levels and scheduled for another visit at the hospital for later today so I can get another ultra sound to see blood flow and check my tubes to see if there is anything in them and take my blood again to check if the HCG level has changed.
If I do have a tubal pregnancy that means surgery. If little M's abscess doesn't go down it also means surgery. Ugggg I would just really love a normal pregnancy and delivery. No complications, no confusion. But most of you know so far that hasn't worked for me. But that's okay. This is my test in life. I know I have at least 2 babies in Heaven working hard and got saved from this world. What a blessing to know that I could give them a body so they could finish their work in Heaven. I'm a lucky girl.

Mason Update

Great News! All of Mason's tests came back normal except for his hemoglobin is slightly low. So we have to go back and get it checked one more time in 3 months. He is now only throwing up a tiny bit once every few days which I can totally deal with! Thanks for all the prayers and concerns. We just have to guess that he is so small because of all the energy he has :)

What we thought was going to be a normal day....

We didn't take any pictures since we were only planning on a doctor visit for Mason's acid reflex and a bad cold. Just so you can get the scoop, Mason was throwing up about 5 times a day after he would eat, drink, get excited, or move. Even sitting still he would still throw up, we just never knew when the next time would happen. We have taken him in several times for normal visits to a different doc and he said he would grow out of it but he never did. He is normal for height, 29 1/4 inches, but less then 3% for weight. Needless to say we went to a different doc and he is now only throwing up once every couple days about with help of prescription. We went back today for the follow up and he still has not gained any weight, he is still exactly the same weight last time we weighed him 16 lbs 12 oz. So we know its not the Acid Reflex that is causing it. After Mason did a pee test he sent us on our way to Primary Children's Hospital to do a Sweat Chloride test and some blood work to check if he has any diseases that would cause him being so small. I'm optimistic that he will be fine and he is just little because of who his parents are. ( I'm just throwing myself out there, it makes me feel better ;)) He was a trooper for the tests! Test one, pee test: I always wondered what they would do for that but they just put a bag with a band aid like seal around it to keep it on under his diaper. Test two, Sweat Chloride test: they rubbed some liquid around his arms and biceps that helps the sweat glands and put a 2x2 gauze on with 4 hook ups to machines that send electricity through for 5 minutes of a constant shock. Little M started to cry as he was in daddy's arms. Then the wrapped his arms up with more gauze and plastic to make him sweat, we had to put a coat on him and wrap him up nice and tight to make sure he would sweat for 30 min. Test 3, blood test: they had to take out enough to do 4 more test so they took it from his arm. He cried when the needle went in but just watched as the blood came out. He did so good! I couldn't handle it I had to go and wait for his prescriptions. I was glad for that! and of course as soon as he saw me he had a huge smile on his face, it melted my heart. I'm so blessed to have such a great little guy I get to raise. We will find out monday or tuesday what he tests come out as.
Please pray for Mason, we hope they all come out with Negatives!!!!
Thanks Alan for missing work and being there for Mason. We both appreciate it!

Tech Support for Installing a Husband

I was looking at some fun blogs (love actually) I like to go to and this just made me laugh so I have to share it with you. Because just like she said some times you just have to. If your marriage is some what boring with the same old routine every day I might of found your problem

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

Signed,

Desperate

———————

Dear Desperate,

First, keep in mind that Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Please enter the command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html, download Tears 6.2 and be sure to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If those applications work as designed Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, please remember that overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (It runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0-program. This is an unsupported application and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck!

Tech Support

Bathroom Adventures!

I was painting my toe this morning ( my cousin painted my toes super cute and it came off at raging waters so I had to redue it :( ) and I got a little involved in my toe painting and Mason took off to his favorite place in the house... the bathroom. After hearing some silence followed by some bangs and crazy sounds from a little person I went off to Alan's bathroom to discover.....

Summer Time Fun

I can't believe my little man is 11 months!!! But at the same time I can. It seems that time has flown but then gone so slow. How that works I don't know but Mason is amazing. He is such a wonderful baby. I can only hope that all my babies will be as good as he is. I love you my little man!

We went up to Alan's grandparents cabin with our cousins/friends Tyler and Shannon and their cute little baby Malia. We went on a hike that Alan told us would be a short easy hike..... I am not a hiker, nor will I ever be a hiker but that was not easy or short! I have this little enemy called heights. It doesn't like me and I don't like it. Therefore we don't get along to well. And at this little short hike I met enemy on some boulders. But I showed dear enemy who is boss and slowly but surly I kicked its trash! It got me in the legs but the pain only lasted a day or so. Mason and Malia like to steal each others toys and Mason loves to pull her hair. But on this short easy hike they made up and decided to be friends. The top picture is one of a car that fell off the little cliff there and is rotting at the bottom.

We went to Joes Valley for camping and 4 wheeling with my parents, aunt and uncle and their family. It was so fun until I got sick :P I ended up with a nasty cold and we are guessing I had an ovarian cyst rupture at 5 in the morning. It made me pass out 3 times in a row. It was a good thing that I made it to my parents trailer in time. But we got to watch a movie on a big screen with the projector. That was pretty fun until the generator ran out of gas in the middle of the movie lol. Mason had his first 4wheeler ride and I think we were more excited than he was :)

I love fire works!

Alan's uncle Larry invited us to go to his house for a party and watch the fire works from bountiful on the mountain near where he lives. We had the best seats in the house :) we got to watch pretty much at eye level. No kinked necks here! Here are some of the Pictures that Alan took of the fire works.

Mason also got so go swimming in their pool and that was the first time he had ever been. He LOVED it! He splashed and kicked like crazy enjoying himself. He is such a fun little guy. Thanks Larry and Paula for letting us enjoy that with your family!

Refound fun

A few months ago Alan's great uncle brought me back to putting puzzles together. I forgot how fun it was and fast time goes by when I'm doing it. Granted we haven't been able to use out kitchen table for about a month. There are four 500 piece, four 300 piece and two 100 piece which really aren't hard at all but just fun to do. I haven't found any good fun puzzles at wally world when we have been there other than this that came in a pack. Now to figure out what to do next!

Layers of a sandwich

1. Bun ( very important )
2. Sauce ( also very important )
3. Meat ( even more important )
4. Conduments ( not as important )
5. Sauce ( also very important )
6. Bun ( very important )

I thought this was a pretty simple concept, right? So how in the world does Carls Jr. forget the BUNS!!! Alan and I don't go out to eat very often, and I know to some of you this may not even count as going out to eat. But for us it does. So alan always gets three of the cheapest spicy chicken and I always get a meal (I take it for all its worth). So the most expensive thing we get they give me lettuce as buns. What did they do? Run out of the very important part of a sandwich? lame

Happy Birthday to ME!

For my birthday we decided to go to my cousin Jana and Scott's house in Nevada. Our plans were for me to pack while alan was at work and he would get home around 5 and we would get the heck out of dodge! oh but no alan got stuck at work and didn't get home until flippin 11:00! So mason was already asleep and he had been crying all day I'm assuming from being sick the last few days so I didn't get much packing done at all. Needless to say we didn't get the heck out of dodge until about 1 in the am... Just so you know its a 5 hour drive. So not only was I driving and every one was sleeping it started snowing, hard. For most of the time I was driving I couldn't see 5 ft ahead of me. After I had been driving for 2.5 hours I pulled over to have alan drive. We looked at the GPS and it said we still had 5 more hours! How does that work you ask? It means I drove 2 hours and got NO WHERE! I was going 30 most of the way because it was snowing so hard and the roads were white. We got there at 6 am on my birthday and slept for a few hours before getting up for the day.
Alan was amazing, he did so great for my gifts. All through out the day he would hand me a gift wrapped up in my favorite blanket. They all had to do with hobbies of mine. I got a scrap booking book of 601 pages of ideas, beginners crochet book, the last 2 Fablehaven books, I know this may sound odd but I loved it, a cigaret lighter for my car to replace the one that was taken.
My cousin Jana and I painted each others toes. She does such an awesome job! She always does all the girls toes when she comes out to visit. Hers are the ones with the black flowers and mine are the pink. And of course baby M wanted to model his as well.

The next day we went and saw Bounty Hunter and went out to eat at a pizza place. It was the first movie baby M has been too. For the most part he wasn't bad. He sat in his car seat and stared at the big screen sitting in his own chair. The pizza was super yummy. We laughed almost the whole time; it was either some one had something on their nose, pointy ears, or looked like a elf. Even the waitress decided to join in on the poking fun. To end the night we watched Avatar. LOVE IT !!! It was alan's first time seeing it. I can't wait to see it in blue ray!
Sunday was great and relaxing. In church Jana taught the RS lesson and did an amazing job. It was the best lesson I have had in a long time. We had amazing grilled hamburgers and got to chat the day away. And of course I got a quick motorcycle ride in thanks to scott! He knows what makes me have a permagrin.
What a great trip!! Thanks Scott and Jana for letting us stay there and get away for a mini vacation. Love you!

You want a good laugh?

How I came across this lovely invention..... I was looking at what a crochet needle looked like for some patterns that I just bought. And here she was. BA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!! Sorry but if I saw this out in public I would not be able to contain myself! I'm already in tears thinking to myself...... Good thing your face is hidden. It is 1:03 in the morning so of course I will pretty much laugh at anything but I think no matter what this is funny! BA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

The time has come!

Alan and I got married almost 3 years ago. And alan has been going to work and school full time and will take on a second job on top of that plus building websites. So needless to say he has kept himself pretty busy with work and school and its been hard for him to spend good quality time with the family. And this Friday he is finally graduating from BYU!!!! I can't wait to be able to spend more time with him and do some traveling and camping! We need a family vacation. I'm so proud of how hard he has worked in providing for our little family. Love you babe!

And thank you Kathy for helping me figure out how to put it up :)

Monday's Allergy Test

I don't know about you but I always get super stuffed when I go lay down on anything, especially on the side I'm laying on. The doc referred me to an allergist here in Provo and I had an appointment to go get my allergy test done. After I figured out what they do to you I was NOT at all thrilled to go. They told me a "few" needles in my back to do the testing. But come to fine out when I got there it was a whole other story, they wouldn't tell me how many they were doing just "a lot" is all they would say. I was totally freaked In fact on Sunday night I dreamed that I purposely missed the apt and had some one call in for me. But I went and 54 shots in the back and 1 and half hours later I found out I'm allergic to........ NOTHING! not a single freaking thing! I just have what everyone has but more pronounced. So there is nothing I can do about it and I will always be stuffed. I was hoping I could get this taken care of for my next pregnancy because it was so hard for me to breathe especially with a gigantic belly (Mason never dropped). So after all the scare, shots, and sleepless nights it was a waste. ha ha I'm so negative some times :P

Skills

I just want to shout out to all my friends that happen to have skills to sew. You are so blessed! I see all of these great things that you lovely ladies are putting together and making and everything turns out beautiful. Mostly it is for little girly things for their daughters...bows, dresses, flowers, blankets... I'm just amazed at all of the many great things you all can do. I love seeing the new idea's you have and I love to see the turn out of what ever it is you make. I do have a sewing machine but no idea how to even thread the thing. Its sits on my floor starring at me wanting to get used by my unskillful hands (and foot) to make some thing from a awesome piece of fabric to a hideous masterpiece. I don't know a single term or what you can do other than a straight stitch. So a square is about as creative as I can get, if I don't go over the edge. So again I'm very proud to see it is possible, how? I have no idea. But it can be done! :)
So if any of you out there can help my simple mind of sewing techniques I would love to TRY and make some thing from a piece of fabric. any thing simple to start and if there are any terms I need to know, that would be greatly appreciated!!!

Infinite Power of Hope

These last few months I've been trying really hard on being a better example for my son and husband. It seems that the harder I try to better myself the harder Satan works at destroying it. But I know I need to continue to push myself at doing the right things like reading my scriptures, praying openly, showing the respect that Heavenly Father deserves by going on my knees to pray (i'm famous for pillow prayers), keeping my journal, going to the temple, and doing my visiting teaching. I will admit that it has become extremely difficult at times and I seem to get EXTREMELY distracted (satan's work) by situations going on in my life that seem to be almost impossible to over come. This month for the R.S. message a quote stood out to me," Each of us has a responsibility to try to avoid problems before they happen and to learn to overcome challenges when they occur..." then satan comes in and tries to make it so overwhelming for me which makes me more angry and upset, and that is not Heavenly Fathers plan for me to get through. But I'm going to do my best at what I know is right for me. I need to better myself first before I can better my family. I know Heavenly Father seriously loves me for me and my efforts to keep my family spiritually together and happy. I'm not going to lose.
this video is amazing and what a strength builder

So I Married A Computer Nerd

The night before last I was on a cleaning frenzy when Alan decided to pitch in. "I'll take out the trash" he said. He walk out the door to the gigantic dumpster right across from our condo and threw the big white bag in, well tried anyway. It only made it half way, it got stuck between the fence and the dumpster. So as anyone would do he tried to push it in. He comes in running to the bathroom with blood completely all over his hands dripping! "I cut my had really bad!" So I put my clinic skills to work and got him bandaged up with gauze and neosporine and wrapped it with medical tape and we were off to the hospital. The blasted emergency entrance was a beast to find, poor Alan. But after all the paper work and checking him in we were sitting in the back in our own little room and they tell him he will need the stitches (alan being continually in denial that he even needs them) in his left thumb and his middle finger will be glued shut and he will get some shots to numb so they can explore inside the cut and stitch it back up. Alan goes pail. They had to lean his bed as far back as it went for most the rest of the visit to get the blood to go back to his face. Needless to say it didn't really work all to well. It made him less dizzy but he was as pail as ever. Come to find out the doc is a good friend of my cousin's husband who is a dentist so we got a talkin. Meanwhile poor alan is getting a shot from a nurse who didn't really have the experience in shot giving and was inserting the needle "fishing" all around his thumb. " its about ready to pop out the other side!" says alan. It was the ugliest looking shot I have ever seen in my life! she started going in in one direction but the needle (that never was pulled out during this process) ended up in almost the opposite direction. The doc quickly comes in and does the other injection. Alan's face was white! And for the most part Mason was a gem. He was super happy, ate and threw up on me twice, screamed just so he could hear his own voice since it some what echoed in the hospital with bare walls and fell asleep right before we left. And now Alan has a huge bandage on his thumb like what you would see in the cartoons after they smash their thumb with a hammer. After all that this is what he says to prove my title of this story," At least I push the space bar with my right thumb!"
