Alan finally taught me how to upload pictures on this computer and I wouldn't of been able to do it anyway with out the card reader. So here are the blocks that I made on sunday with my sister-in-law. So much fun! If you want them and don't have a table saw I'm selling them for $7 in black, red and green. I will probably be putting up more crafts during the holidays that I will make and sell to help us out for Christmas since now I'm a stay at home mom. Just let me know if you want any and how many and what color. Im going to be doing them for family and friends and some neighbors for Christmas. If you would like I can also make any other word that you come up with so your not stuck on just the word believe with any other color. I love the holidays!!!

A great weekend

I have the most delightful husband in the world! I was so tired on thursday so I sacked out when mason was asleep in the afternoon and I woke up to Alan home with a bouquet of beautiful red roses next to me. I asked why and he said, "Just because. I saw them and thought of you." And they are still beautiful and smell amazing!
On friday we had Alan's sister and her boyfriend over for dinner and games. I am always watching the food network and I love Alton Brown's shows and he had a crepe episode, Alan and I love crepes and would always make them but some of them would rip. So last min I remembered the episode, found it online and made it and it was delish! The first one tore but all the rest turned out perfect and sweet tasting, yumm its totally fool proof. Here is the site for the recipe but make sure you double it. It really only makes half of what it says. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/crepes-recipe/index.html
Inside the crepes we put chicken, green and yellow peppers, 1/2 an onion mixed with a fajita seasoning packed. then we added sour cream and/or ranch dressing. excellent!
On Sunday all my family met at my parents house for dinner and in our noisy house we played Beatles rock band and my sister-in-law brought the stuff for us to make wood blocks that say believe using vinyl. So I got my cricut out and they turned out sooo cute! I'll have to post pics up but alan isn't home and I don't know how to download pics on this new mac with alan's cords every where :)
All in all I had a fantastic weekend! Especially since I got to sleep in all weekend!

Teachings in the Ensign

When I was pregnant we went and finally got signed up for the Ensign. I haven't been able to read it in a long time. Well we just got it and I've been so excited to get it that I've only got a few more stories to read and I'm done :( But I read an article on blogging about the gospel and how I feel about it. So that is what I've decided to do. Elder Ballard reminds us, "Every disciple of Christ will be most effective and do the most good by adopting a demeanor worthy of a follower of the Savior. Discussions focused on questioning, debating, and doubting gospel principles do little to build the kingdom of God.... There is no need to argue or contend with others regarding our beliefs. There is no need to become defensive or belligerent. Our position is solid; the Church is true."
How easy is it for us to just say, " the Church is true." Because it seems so easy for him. For me I've always struggled with containing the information that we learn in church about who did what and where in my memory that it would be hard for me to argue with some one about it and tell them which scripture says what to prove it. But I do know that in my heart that it is true. I guess the good thing about not remembering the stories in the scriptures is that every time I read it, it seems like I've just opened it up for the first time :) It is amazing how the spirit can tell show us by our feelings what is true and what isn't. The other day Alan and I were reading in the scriptures about Adam and Eve and how Heaven Father only spoke to him and non of his sons and daughters, and by the spirit he will be able to preach to his prosperity. I wonder how did some of them not believe the good but satan would speak and they would believe his every word. I hope that I will never doubt or question what I am taught.
It is amazing that Mason just came from where I want to be. He was with my other son and spoke to him. He saw my fluffy :) And he is pure. It scares me to think this world he is going to live in will try and force on him things that are not true. I'm glad that I was born in the Church and I was strong enough to "survive" the world so Mason could be born in the covenant. I'm grateful for all my family and friends that I can look up to to try and be a good mom and become a stronger person. Thank you every one that has done or said some thing to share the gospel and lift my spirit.

What a good day!!!

It all started yesterday when Alan let me sleep in and get a whole 8hrs of sleep!!! He only woke me up to feed Mason and I was back to bed. After waking up to get ready for the day Mason decided to be awesome all day long and just chill in the swing with out a fuss and he was awake the whole time listening to the nature sounds that play on it looking around. I was able to clean the apartment with a little help from Alan. Alan's little honda broke down so my brother Brad and him worked on it from 1 to 5pm and Alan was working on it since 9 so it was sweet of him to stop and help me out before my bro showed up. I was able to make my self pretty in pink for the day and dressed up in cute clothes ( for all those that know me well I love my pjs and that is all I wear when I'm at home all day) and put on make up and curl my hair. I think since I've had Mason I've only done my hair 5 or 6 times, it normally goes up in a pony tail or a messy bun. Then I was able to make Hash brown funeral potatoes for dinner while Alan watched and fed Mason and it turned out really really good :) Alan gave it a 9! Mason fell asleep on the floor while we were eating and I wanted him to stay awake as long as possible so he would sleep well at night since he has been getting days and nights mixed up. We tried everything we could think of to wake the little guy: we picked him up, rolled him from side to side, made lots of noise, poked his face lol and he didn't even flinch! It was completely impossible to make him open his eyes. Every once in a while during his torture he would do his normal grunting but then nothing. After everything was cleaned up and put away we made brownies together and relaxed to reading family scriptures then watching the first 4 episodes of the Mentalist, which we both loved! During which both my boys fell asleep, Mason woke up for about 30 min. to eat then back to sleep the little turd, and I slipped into the bedroom, put on my beloved pjs, curled up in bed and read a few stories in the Ensign.
I have my husband to thank for it. If I hadn't had all that sleep I would of been a zombie like every other day and only of done half the things I did and not cared about the rest. Thank you Alan for being so great to me and seeing that I needed the rest and letting me sleep. You have been so great with Mason, it is amazing to watch you with him. I love you!

It sure has been a while since I last updated.
But as I'm sure most of you know starting a
new family and getting things figured out is
pretty time consuming and confusing. We
still have to get a schedule it seems so erratic.
Mason is now a month old and is moving like
mad. When ever he is awake he can't stop
flinging his arms and legs in all directions.
He is doing great and growing fast!! As for
me I'm doing much better, recovering from
a c-section is not fun or short. I'm now able
to get around with out to much fuss. I only
have pain a little through out the day that
are random. So I can actually get some thing
done around the house. It is crazy how much
your life changes by bring a little person into
the world. Well its 4:30 in the am so I'm going
to try and get some sleep :)

We are lucky enough to paint the babies room in our rented condo. It was way fun for Alan and I to finally start on getting it going and make it feel more real. I was going to find a crib bedding set but i couldn't find one that I liked that didn't have the retched BLUE in it some where or brown over powering it. So we made one up by getting things separate. I hope it turns out! I'll put up picks when we are done but we got paint!

Boy clothes are difficult, the end

Alan and I went looking for baby boy clothes at stores like Ross and Kohls to find them for cheaper. I don't want to pay a ton o' money for clothes that he can only fit into for a few months, if that. And NO WHERE can I find clothes that DON'T have blue in it!!!!!! I am going crazy. So if any of you find or see any that are cute with out the blue, let me know! I'm going mad with all the blue why can't there be colors like oh ya know maybe green, orange, black, brown..... but no they all have to have blue some where. grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Freebie Tag

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It will be done this year.
4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry (but probably not) or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows?
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on their blog. The first 5 people to do so, and leave a comment telling me they did, win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

No guarantees, no returns! Let the games bgin!

A New Job!!! WOOT WOOT!!!

The time is finally up! I got a job working at Orem Family Dental!!! yay!! and I'm going to make more than I ever have which will let Alan work less and study more on school. What a blessing paying tithing is. It couldn't of come at a better much needed time. We didn't know if any one would hire me because I am pregnant but my cousin randomly called me up knowing that I was a dental assistant but thought I still had a job was hoping that I would come work with her at her office. I went in and interviewed (you have to work for the interview) so I assisted and looked around the office to memorize where things were and he canceled all the other interviewers he had scheduled and had me come back for a couple more weeks to interview and see if I was as good as I looked he he. Well needless to say today my cousin got fired and now I'm on full time ha ha ha sad story but its just funny how it all worked out. Many many blessings Alan and I have been given lately like a baby and a new job and the help that we have received from family and friends. We thank you all for your prayers and "donations" to the rose family we have been so blessed and with out it we would of been into a lot of trouble right now. So thanks again and bless you all.

Bun in the Oven

Alan and I went to North Carolina over Christmas break for 15 days. The day after Christmas I was having cramps but yet nothing was happening. I didn't want to have Alan go and get a preggo test because I wanted to suprise him since he is the one begging for a baby he he. But with out telling one of his family memebers which might of ended up spredding I decided to ask Alan anyway. He didn't wait 1 minute before grabbing keys and saying he was going on an "ice cream" run. So everyone told him what they wanted and he was off!
I peed on the sticks since one just wasn't enough to convince me, and called my friend/cousin Desi to tell her first :) meanwhile poor Alan is banging on the door begging to let him in and tell him the results! I finally gave in and put on a normal face and let him in and handed him the stick telling him his future. He froze. Didn't even move. Not what I was expecting! After the antagonizing wait he put a huge grin on his face and said, "what do we do now?" ha ha ha
I have passed the mark from my last pregnancy and every thing is going good so far, I'm sick 24/7 but haven't barfed yet. I get up and I am instintly light headed and have to sit back down. I also feel like I can't catch my breath. I feel like i ran a 5k after 5 steps. But I sleep like a baby. All in all I hear a baby is worth it so I'm going to trust that :)
I made an appointment for the 26th! I'll give you updates!
